Dr Ryan Wellington

Dr Ryan Wellington is a warm, dedicated General Practitioner who, with his family, has proudly called Newport home for the past three years.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Obstetrics (MB BCh BAO) from the National University of Ireland in 2009. In 2025, he earned his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), marking his full recognition as a specialist GP in Australia. He also holds a Diploma in Child Health (2014) from The Children’s Hospital in Sydney, following three years of dedicated training in paediatrics.
With rich experience in general practice and paediatrics spanning both Queensland and Ireland, Dr Wellington brings a compassionate, patient-centered approach to his consultations.
Dr Wellington is excited to welcome new patients and he is available for appointments five days a week and looks forward to building lasting relationships with families in the local community, supporting them through every stage of life with attentive and thorough care.
