Dr Brendan Thompson

Dr Brendan Thompson graduated medical school from the University of Queensland in 2010, and worked in the public hospital system until 2013. Dr Brendan then started in general practice, and achieved his fellowship into the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015.
He is a highly experienced general practitioner with extensive training in sports medicine. He has a long affiliation with the NRL as a team doctor and is a current member of Sports Medicine Australia & an Associate Member of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians.
The team at Newport Family Doctors are thrilled to have another doctor join with a passion for sports medicine, joining our existing team, and helping bring more sports services to our professional players, amateur athletes and up and coming future sporting stars.
Dr Brendan is currently only accepting new patients for Sports injuries or children 15 years and under. Dr Brendan does not offer adult ADHD assessments.
